Prof Abha had completed her graduation in medicine and masters in surgery in the year 1983 and 1987 respectively from Aligarh Muslim University and later completed her superspecialization in CVTS (M.Ch) from Sanjay Gandhi postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow and DNB in CVTS from National Board ot examinations. After working for sometime with some of the pioneers in Cardiac surgery in Mumbai, she had joined a superspeciality hospital Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, TIrupati, where she worked for a period of 27 years and operated all types of paediatric and adult cases approximately 12000 cases which included Cardiac, thoracic and Vascular. She has number of publications in both national and International Journal. At present she is playing a role as a reviewer for a number of national and International Journal and Academic editor for a few. Her recent editorial on “woman in Cardiothoracic surgery” in Indian journal of Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, which has been well read globally. After superannuating as senior Professor and HOD from SVIMS Tirupati, she is presently working as Dean Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Integral University, Lucknow Uttar
