Electrical instability of the myocardium in patients with arterial hypertension depending on the severity of concomitant simple psoriasis
Abstract
A study was conducted among 86 male outpatients with stage 2 arterial hypertension (AH) and concomitant simple psoriasis, with an average age of 52.4±6.9 years. Depending on the severity of psoriasis according to the PASI index, the patients were divided into 2 groups: Group 1 (PASI index <20, mild psoriasis) - 27 patients, Group 2 (PASI index ≥20, severe psoriasis) - 59 patients with AH. Both groups were comparable in age, duration of AH, body mass index (p ≥ 0.05). All patients underwent signal-averaged ECG (SA-ECG) with LPV analysis using the «Poli-Spectr 8/EX» device (Neurosoft, Russia). During the study, LPV were recorded in 5 people (18.5%) in the group with a PASI index <20, and in the group with a PASI index ≥20, LPV were recorded in 24 people (40.7%) (χ2 = 4.07; p = 0.044; χ2 = 4.33; p = 0.038).
In the group with aPASI index ≥20, the Total QRS duration was significantly longer (112.5 ± 17.9 ms) than in the group with a PASI index <20 (102.7 ± 11.0 ms) (p = 0.01). The Under 40 uV value was 39.2 ± 18.2 ms in the group with a PASI index ≥20, compared to 32.8 ± 7.4 ms in the group with a PASI index <20 (p = 0.082). The Last 40 ms value was 28.0 ± 17.3 μV in the group with a PASI index ≥20, compared to 35.2 ± 18.1 mV in the group with a PASI index <20 (p = 0.084).
